Catherine P. Businelle is a freelance writer who has been published in several magazines. She is currently working on a book about choosing a childbirth method using the birth stories of women who have been there (see
My Birth Choice).
Raised in New Iberia, Louisiana, Catherine attended a missions program after high school that took her to Lubbock, Texas, for nine months, and then to Quito, Ecuador, for two years. She then earned a full-tuition scholarship to Harding University in Searcy, Arkansas, where she graduated cum laude with a BA in Spanish. She now lives on the Oregon coast with her husband of ten years and their three daughters.
Catherine’s job experiences range from editing bill drafts for attorneys for the Arkansas State Legislature to flipping burgers at Burger King to supervising a 300-plus-room hotel to managing the Spanish translation of a monthly religious periodical.
Her adventures in a variety of cultures and occupations have given her a wealth of perspectives and topics from which to draw while writing. Her latest journey, this time into motherhood, interested her in helping pregnant women choose a childbirth method that fits their goals and personality.
