Famous Churches in Tuscaloosa
United States of America is known for its huge diversity. From the religions to geographical diversity, you can find numerous colours in US. Such is the case with churches too. Tuscaloosa, a part of Alabama is famous for its beautiful churches located here. Tuscaloosa is the 5th largest city of the Alabama state. The city is situated on Black Warrior River and has a population reaching an approximate figure of 93,200.
There are numerous churches in this city known for their immense beauty as well as historic origins. Students from around the globe visit them to study about their art, structure as well as history. Let us take a look at the churches and cathedrals situated here.
To begin with, "Roman Catholic Church" is one of the ornate and largest churches of the place. More than one thousand families attend its activities and of course it is one place which you should visit, if you ever happen to come to this city. Another church is the "First Presbyterian" where a large number of German and American residents come to worship.

The building in itself is a Cutting-edge and if you are visiting this place, then it will be difficult to locate this building easily as it looks very different than normal churches. Some more famous churches here are the Good Shepherds, Genesis, Forest Lake, Emmanuel, Cornerstone and Crestline Baptist Church.
A non-denominational church is "Journey Church". It is a conservative building and has no particular dress code for its members. Another non-denominational church is Huntsville. It is yet another conservative building and so is the dress code that is formal. One more non-denominational church is the "Chelsea church". It is another cutting-edge structure that does not look like a church from outside. There is no dress code and so you can visit it in casual attires too.
If you happen to be in this city then you must visit these churches as they are very beautiful and historic in their origin. Mostly the oldest churches are a spot for learners. Arts students and teachers are finding these historic monuments interesting and are getting attracted towards them. However, this should not stop you from exploring other churches too. After all, no human is born with a tag of any religion. It's us who decide which one to follow. For God, every human is equal, regardless of colour, caste, religion and region.

Do you think women should have a stricter dress code at church including wearing gloves, dress, & headcovering?
The way most women dress at christian churches today is inappropriate. Wearing a hat or headcovering and dresses below the knee are not only modest but necessary and let me stress the dresses MUST be below the knee while sitting. In addition white gloves should be worn to show purity when they hold or open the Bible.
While I do not agree with every item on your 'checklist' (or the idea of a strict 'checklist' for modesty)... I do think women should dress more appropriately for church. I personally wear a headcovering, but I think that needs to be a matter of personal conviction or submission to a husband who believes in the headcovering. I don't think gloves are necessary... they aren't mentioned *anywhere* in the Bible and we are not to bind our own ideas on others. If it isn't in the Bible there is no need to teach it as necessary for *all* no matter how you personally feel.
Now... The poster that said they had never seen anyone dressed inappropriately for church either has a very different idea of inappropriate than me or needs to stop by my congregation sometime and see what is out there. We are told in the Bible to dress modestly... its the definition of modest that I clearly don't see the same way as many of the women at our church!
My youngest child's Bible class teacher was frightening for a long while... I know those little baby's where thinking 'lunchtime!' instead of 'classtime' sitting in front of her all hour... and the temptation for the poor daddy's picking up their kids! What a thing to put in front of someone at church!?!
I don't think we need to start measuring skirt length or cleavage depth at the door... but women simply need to use more common sense.
In our case we didn't handle it perfectly... we spoke about it in front of an elders wife who we knew would 'get the issue addressed'. Really, we should have spoken to the elder ourselves in private... but something needs to be said to someone who dresses in an obviously inappropriate manner. Clearly something was said to this teacher... she began covering up a bit more on a fairly consistant basis. Still not what *I* would be comfortable wearing to church... but much more reasonable over all.
