running a cord along the edge of a room, under the carpet?
In my family room there is only one tv cable plug, and I want the tv on the opposite side of the room. Can I pull up the carpet and run the cable along the perimeter of the room and then put the carpet back down over it? I tested on a corner in a closet... how do you get the carpet to stick to the tacks again, etc?
people do this stuff all the time...............
you can do it basically 2 ways......
1 you can run the cable around the edge of the tackwood and hold it down with some duct tape or
2 what I have done in some instances ,when you need it to go through the middle of the room, is to take a razor blade and cut a slit all the way through the padding where ever you want the cable to go,then push the cable in the cut and duct tape over it.........you will never feel it...........
