The rising popularity of dollhouses and miniatures has led to lots of shows being held around the world that are related to the hobby. One of the most popular yearly events is the West Coast Dolls House and Miniature Show. This takes place in Langley, British Columbia, Canada and is held on the second Sunday of June. This craft show is aimed at showcasing the work of various skilled miniaturists in a variety of scales. This show attracts enthusiasts and retailers from all over North America and various parts of the world.
The show is ideal for anybody who is interested in miniatures. This includes children, beginners, and pros. Do vintage Barbie clothes fit the new Barbie doll since she's been resized?
My 2 granddaughters each have the new Barbie Loves Glitter Doll and I would like to sew some clothes for them. I have an old Barbie doll sewing pattern that I used for Barbie 30 years ago. Will this pattern fit the new Barbie doll? I think the new Barbies have been proportionately resized.
Barbie has changed in size over the years. She has gotten smaller not larger. The clothes from older patterns will fit the new Barbies, but they will be a little sagging and drooping in places. It's best to buy a modern day Barbie Doll clothes pattern (available at any major craft store and Walmart) and use that to make the Barbie Doll clothes with. However, the clothes in most cases "will fit" they just won't look "perfect" which after all is Barbie's image.
