How to hit irons in a golf shot is often an over looked aspect of the game
We all want to hit a driver straight, chip the golf ball close to the hole and of course putt well. But how to hit irons onto the green is an over looked section of the overall management of the golf game. If you can proper hit your irons, generally your approach shot into the green, your overall golf score will likely go down.
As a golfer you might of heard of the old cliche, drive for show but putt for dough. Okay, so you can drive the ball 250 yards or more onto the fairway. And you can chip pretty well and putt acceptable. If you could figure out how to hit irons onto the green you could eliminate those sometimes troublesome chips and maybe shave a shot off every golf hole now and then.
When considering how to hit irons onto the green, you do not always have to go right at the flag. Many golf professionals rarely go flag hunting, why should you? You need to take all the different aspects into consideration. You should consider where the flag is located, whether it is located on the front, the middle, or the back of the green. The depth of many greens can vary from 30 yards or more. This yardage variation will certainly dictate which club you will choose on that approach shot. You also need to be aware of where the flag is in relation to the edge of the green. If the flag is on the right edge you should be trying to hit well left of that pin position.
A few other items you need to ask yourself when thinking about how to hit irons onto the green is the slope of the green. You should be aware of whether the green slopes from the back to the front, right to left, you get the idea. The firmness of the green will make a difference in how to hit irons onto the green. If the greens are firm you might be able to land the ball short of the green and let roll out. Conversely if the greens are soft you may need to use one more club. Most often it is better to aim for the safe side or middle of the green.
When asking yourself how to hit irons into green you need to consider where the flag is located, the depth and slope of green and firmness of the greens. When in doubt use a simple swing and aim for the middle of the green.

How to remove iron-on flag from backpack?
You know those stamps or flags people can iron onto their backpacks? Well, I have one of those. How can I remove them? Using an iron? I don't want to ruin the backpack (although I don't care about the stamp/flag), and I want to get those sticky-icky stuff off too. Or is it permanent???
I'm not 100% sure but have you tried using waxed paper and a hot iron? Or, try calling a dry cleaners.
