i have a husqvarna s215 (old version) machine, and cant find the user manual, does anyone know how i can drop the feed dog or where i can get a free manual

Some sewing machines do not have a feed dog disengage feature. Instead there is a shield that snaps over the feed dogs.
In a pinch you can replicate the shield by setting the stitch length to zero and taping (painter's blue tape) an index card or expired plastic ID card over the feed dogs with a hole punched out for the needle to pass through.
