Is there anything I can use as a backing on fusible webbing?
I bought Pellon fusible webbing, but without the paper backing - not realizing I would need the kind with the backing.
Is it possible to use wax paper as a backing when ironing it onto one piece of fabric.
It's for an applique quilt I'm working on, I need to iron it to the fabric, cut the design out, then iron it to the quilt. But without the backing, this would be really tricky.
Any suggestions besides returning to the store to get the kind with the backing?
The best product to have for iron-on fusibles is a Teflon pressing sheet.
Any fusible that "leaks" onto the Teflon sheet can be removed when it cools.
This will keep the ironing board and sole plate of the iron clean.
