I found this 1936 light gold tone penny. I found it unusal. I was wondering if it may be worth anything and where would I go to take it if I wanted to sell it for top dollar.
The cent was actually made of brass from 1909-1942 then 1944-1958. It is not unusual for a cent to show a more bronze color than a copper one. Also the coin could have been buffed that would also show a bronze color. You can not get top dollar for something that is quite common. It is worth around .05-$1 depending on grade.
