Eco Electric Motorcycle: Living a eco-friendly life

Motorcycles look like non eco-friendly before. And many of us think that if motorcycles are going eco-friendly, they don't look like the real ones, will be an oxymoron. But when more and more people are seeking for a green and eco-friendly lifestyle, the companies in the field of motorcycles changed their direction and began to develop the different eco electric motorcycles to meet thus requirements for environmental-friendly.

In fact many manufacturers of automobiles, such as Audi, Toyota, Honda, General Motors, are or have developed electric cars or hybrid automobiles for environmentally friendly. So manufacturers of motorcycle will adapt to this trend of environmental-friendly too.

For example, Zero Motorcycles is one role in offering eco-friendly electric motorcycles in the market. And as one important role in the market of motorcyles, Harley Davidson is looking for ways to make their motorcycle green too. Harley Davidson may want to design one which is powered by lithium-ion batteries which run a brushless electric motor. :-) Harley Davidson still wants to be the king of the road with a zero-emission engine.

For many players of motorcycles in the market, the challenge exists.  That is, the motorcycles community want little difference but with eco-friendly motorcycles powered by the new-fuel wave of alternatives.

In fact with recent advances in battery technology, we think electric motorbikes (electric motorcycles) are poised to explode onto the market as small, nimble commute ones that will be easy to find space for parking. But unfortunately the producers of eco-friendly electric motorcycle (electric motorbikes) seem to appear and disappear more frequently than the ones of larger vehicles, probably because start-up costs of such environmental-friendly motorcyles are relatively low, but market penetration is difficult, especially in North America. There's one example in the market of China. There are so many producers of eco-friendly electric motorcycle (electric motorbikes) in China just because start-up costs are low.

What exactly engages power to the rear wheel after shifting a motorcycle into gear?

When I go to shift my bike from rest into gear, nothing actually happens. Even when the clutch is disengaged, i can still shift down into first and no power transfers. I can be in 1st gear (or any gear) with my clutch released, and no action happens. It is just like i am in neutral, or have my clutch engaged. What is the problem? Is there a piece in the shift shaft broken? is it my clutch?
My bike is a 2000 yamaha r6. It is in fantastic condition other than this problem.

Ryan here is what you do.....Tell us what kind of a bike it is and how many cc's and what year because.....there are several different types of clutch engagement and dis-engagement systems each maker has their own style...Edit;on the crank there is a gear-- that gear is connected to the gear on the backside of the clutch basket-which is connected by way of a splined shaft-splined shaft turns and with gearing that is attached to it--turns the gears that are connected to the output shaft. Now after some thought, did you try to adjust the slack in the lever--if you have the cable to tight with no free play that will not allow the clutch to fully engage thus displaying the exact symptoms that you mentioned
