Does she want me to wear her dress?
I was with my mum the other day looking at clothes and we came across her wedding dress from the 1970. We were admiring it and say how it had only discoloured a little on the sleeve. Mum was telling me how lovely the dress looked on and how I'm about the same size she was. She noted that the appliques could be changed and I said it had a VERY modest neckline but a lovely train. She told me her mum bought it for her (her mum was poor, but it was some ridicculous price). Then we put it away and didn't say anything else.
Do you think she was hinting she want's me to wear it? Or was just reliving her joy over her dress?
she was hinting and it worked. if you don't want to wear it be honest . . . after you've tried the dress on. it may not fit, it may be yellowed beyond repair, etc. if it can't be worn, ask her permission to take it and have a small piece sewn into a seam of your dress and ask if your wedding purse can be made from her dress.
