How do I sew elastic straps onto Ballet slippers?
I recently bought a pair of ballet slippers that have the two straps on them, but I'm not sure how to properly sew them on. The ends are already sewn into the slippers, and I know that the straps are supposed to crisscross across the foot, but where exactly do I sew them on? near the middle of the shoe, or near the front? Also when I get them tight enough and sew them in do to I just cut off the excess straps afterwords?
