Need help sewing elastic in a bathing suit?
I have made two bathing suits and I find myself having trouble with the elastic in the bottoms. They gave me clear elastic and it's hard to see and i cut it when using my serger. I will try to place it in during the sewing process, but it isn't working...please help!!!!!
You need to sew this on the inside of the fabric......while the serger cuts off just a smidge of the fabric not the elastic....Then turn and use the conventional machine to sew the edge on the inside like a hem.......That is how I was taught in a class.
