Paintball Gear and Accessories
The sport of paintball has evolved in the last ten years with the creation of new high tech guns and paintball gear. The most recent paintball gear revolution started with the creation of paintball armor which was lead by a company called Field Armor. New innovative products made by small companies can barely make the new products sections of many of the paintball magazines and web sites due to the fact that the big manufacturers dominate ad revenue in these publications thus get the lion's share of the reviews and free press areas.

The paintball supply companies that dominate the market do make good products and have creative advertising ploys but lack projecting the truth of the matter to the consumer. When it comes to protection from getting welted the word is hush, really, hush, keep it down and don't let the parents think this sport can be dangerous. The truth of the matter is that jelled projectiles are shot out of guns sometimes only a few feet from one another. Some fields have standards of a ten foot rule while others prefer fifteen feet. Even at ten feet if a ball or many balls the size of a large marble is travelling at 100 miles per hour there is a great chance you will get hurt. Some advanced players on a budget will layer their clothes with three shirts, a sweat shirt and a towel wrapped around their necks. Of course they look ridiculous but at the end of the day they walk away sweaty but not bruised up.
