it is a reissue of a vintage pattern from one of the 'big 4' pattern companies. it is very similar to pattern # 4790 from butterick. which has the dress made in two parts that are wrapped around the body. but, instead of a back piece wrapped around a separate front piece and buttoned at the front, center of the waist; it has a left piece and separate right piece that wraps around to button under the arm at the waist. [yes, i know that #4790 is in actuality one piece, but it looks like two pieces.]
